Children's
Nursery |
"Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them
not: for of such is the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:13-14).
The
Nursery hours begin at 11 AM and closes after the Sunday
morning service ends. Nursery care is available for infants
and preschoolers of adults attending Sunday morning service.
Only children of the appropriate ages can be allowed in the
nursery rooms. (Birth to age 3) older children may attend
Children’s Church or regular services with their parents.
Our nursery workers
model kindness, compassion and concern in their interaction
with our children. Simple values such as sharing,
non-violence, and thankfulness are underlined when children
play, have snack or do any other basic routine in the
nursery. Children learn to know and trust God when they
experience church as a safe and welcoming place.
Things you should know!
|
As always, sign
your child "IN" and "OUT" and let us know if
there are any custody issues we need to know
about. |
Registration
All parents are to
fill out a Contact and Emergency Information Form before
their child is to be left in nursery. Information needed
includes the child’s name, parents’ whereabouts, and any
notes the parents feel are appropriate (allergies, chronic
illnesses, disabilities) for the nursery staff to know. A
parent or guardian should bring their child, or children,
directly to the nursery and obtain an ID tag, to take with
them while they attend the service. This ID tag will also
allow you to be notified if your presence is required in the
nursery and will serve to identify you when you return to
pick up your child or children. It is the general policy
that parents should remain on the church campus while their
children are in the nursery.
Illness
Children exhibiting any signs of
illness will not be allowed in the nursery. Please do not
bring your child to the nursery if he/she has:
-
Discolored mucus
(green/yellow drainage)
-
Fever in the last 24 hours
-
Vomited in the last 24 hours
-
Diarrhea
-
Contagious skin rash
-
Discharge from the eye
-
Pink eye
-
Unusual fatigue or
irritability
-
Inflamed mouth or throat
-
Open sores
Any child who has entered
nursery-care and is then exhibiting any of the above
symptoms will be removed from the nursery and the parents
contacted for pick up.
Allergy
Parents must notify the Nursery
Staff of any allergies their child has. Sippy cups or infant
bottles may only contain water/beverage, please do not put
your child’s medication in their bottles or cups.
Diaper Bags
Please include in your diaper bag
the following: blankets, pacifiers, bottles and any other
item your child may need.
